BCC 2026-27 Application Form - Community Grants

* indicates a required field.

Before You Start

The Burnie 200 Community Grants Program provides funding for community-led projects, events and initiatives that contribute to the delivery of the Burnie 200 program and help mark Burnie’s 200-year milestone.

Grants of up to $5,000 (ex GST) are available per application through a targeted funding round, subject to Council’s approved program budget. The $5,000 maximum is not a target grant amount. Applicants should request only the amount reasonably required to deliver their proposed activity.

Eligible activities include community events and celebrations, arts, cultural, heritage and storytelling activities, family, youth, sporting and recreational activities, environmental and place-based activities, and activities that add a meaningful Burnie 200 component to an existing event.

Funding generally cannot be used for commercial or private benefit, fundraising, general operating costs, retrospective costs, or costs already funded through another Council program. See the full Guidelines for eligibility and the complete list of ineligible costs.

Key Dates: Applications close midnight Thursday 19 November 2026. Applicants are generally notified of the outcome within six weeks of the round closing.

Eligibility

Before completing this application form, please read the Burnie 200 Community Grants Program Guidelines. This section helps confirm you're eligible before you invest time in the rest of the form. If your application is successful, funding won't be released until any outstanding Final Reports or acquittals from previous Council grants have been satisfactorily completed.
