Burnie 200 Community Grants Program

The Burnie 200 Community Grants Program provides funding for community-led projects, events and initiatives that help mark Burnie’s 200-year milestone and contribute to the official Burnie 200 program. The program aims to strengthen community participation and connection, and celebrate Burnie’s people, stories, arts, culture and heritage.

Grants of up to $5,000 (ex GST) are available per application through this targeted funding round. Applicants should request only the amount reasonably required to deliver their proposed activity.

Eligible activities include community events and celebrations, arts, cultural, heritage and storytelling activities, family, youth, sporting and recreational activities, and activities that add a meaningful Burnie 200 component to an existing event. Funded activities must form part of the official Burnie 200 program and be delivered during 2027.

Key Dates: Applications open Thursday 15 October 2026 and close midnight Thursday 19 November 2026.
